Sillage is thrilled to announce a new collaboration with artist Taketo Masui, born in Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture in 1979. Masui is known for his unique approach to sculpture, exploring the medium of ceramics with a vision as pure and natural as possible. His childhood experiences of playing with soil and viewing Jomon pottery have informed the somewhat nostalgic and soft demeanor of his current work, which is rich in humor and supported by many fans regardless of genre.
This exciting collaboration features four unique items: the 2B jacket, military vest, big pocket shirts with mask print, and big pocket shirt with a circle print. Each of the three mask-printed items is made with Jomon pottery rebuild mask-printed fabric, creating a striking visual effect that blends fashion and art. The big pocket shirts with a circle print are particularly special, featuring a unique design that expresses the passing of time. The circle represents one day, with 86400 seconds ( 86400 circles ), and on the back represented by a print that expresses the pattern of Jomon pottery.
